Be the Actor of Your Life

Life is not exactly like in the movies, we are not in a movie, there is no director to tell you exactly who you are, and what you are meant to accomplish. This does not mean you are here just because a spermatozoon fertilized an egg, and it is more nebulous than it might appear to someone not sensitive enough.

People you encounter in life may guide you or show you the right path that will help you getting closer to the real you and the reason for you to be here. But no one will be able to describe yourself accurately and with enough details to assure you the role you have to play in this world. And this is also true for any tests you are given by governments or companies, these engineerings were invented by people to put yourself in small cases in order to control you with more ease. Each human being cannot be characterized by a just a few questions, we are more complex than this kiss of Judas.

In fact, most of the time people discover what they were asked to do here only once they were able to finish the job. This may be what we call Destiny: an unforeseen goal that will be done whatever happens in our lives. Because either we already know this path or not, except us with our blindness, nothing is against ourselves to realize this ultimate purpose. And you may think you are doing things for yourselves, minding your own business, but every action has consequences, and these consequences are to be felt by the whole world, even as futile and little it might appear to you.

You are the hero of your own life, but your own business helps the world march onto its supremacy, thus you should get up and accomplish the quest of your destiny.

As Shakespeare wrote:

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts…

The Outside World

I have always felt like the world I was living in did correspond to who I was. And that was true. My everyday thoughts and my beliefs were not in keeping with what I was seeing and hearing, and sometimes even in complete opposition to this world. But the world surrounding you is your world, you may disagree with some part of it, but you are also participating in it.

No one should think they are stuck in life because you cannot fight the whole world; everybody is acting in it and you have the power to choose what to see and what to leave aside in order to advance in life. Nobody should be subjugated to his surroundings, choose your own path in order to make your own world.

Of the Importance of Letting Yourself Known to the World

It is common to hear that if an idea grows in our mind, we must certainly keep ourselves from telling anyone, because if not, it will be stolen by someone else.
It may be true about the fruit of some deep research, or about the idea of a new product to be commercialized, or even about an artistic inspiration. Yet, in order to use these ideas, people often have to ask other people for help with whom they will be able to share them, open up to the world, and by this mean to use them on a public stage.

Therefore you have to be able to open up yourself to others. While talking about your projects, your ideas, and your interests, the goal is not only to carry out your design; the goal is also to create a kind of intellectal emulsion among your circle of friends or family that will help improve, change or redirect your idea, and even discover other’s ideas and participate to their creation.

Opening yourself up to other people is also a good way to know whether or not your vision of the world is right according to the principles of today’s community, society, and civilisation. It is important of course to have beliefs and faiths, but you must be able to question the existence of these convictions in order to strengthen the base of your personality. And it is easy to agree with yourself or anyone with the same believes; yet, by opening yourself up to others, by sharing ideas, and by exposing your beliefs to the world as it is, you will perform the last step to assert yourself and your thoughts.

Goodbye, Old Friend

“Elephants are legendary for their memory and intelligence including attributes associated with grief, making music, altruism and compassion. We came across this elephant whose corpse was overcome by vultures and jackals. From a distance we heard and then saw another elephant approaching at a fast pace. She was successful at chasing away the predators and then very slowly and with much empathy wrapped her trunk around the deceased elephants tusk.
